History Scotlandville High School was built in 1961 as a community high school. In 1982, Scotlandville became a magnet high school with an academic focus. In 1983, the High School for Engineering Professions was added as a school within a school. In 1997, the community students were brought back into the school, thus a traditional program. In 2003, the school population grew as a result of the formation of the Baker School District. In 2004, Scotlandville Magnet High School changed it's name to include a Center of Excellence for Business Entrepreneurship and Government Affairs. In 2007, Scotlandville change from the Eagles to the Hornets. | |
