Academic Program
Description This program is designed to academically prepare students who are planning to further their education upon graduation. This program provides a variety of courses that offer Advance Placement opportunities along with college credit. Students are thoroughly prepared to enter college classes after participating in this excellent program. Requirements The requirements for enrolling in the Academic Magnet Program are to maintain a 2.5 overall GPA for 5 semesters and a 5 stanine in reading and mathematics.

Business Entrepreneurship
Description The Center of Excellence for Business Entrepreneurship is a full time, four-year academy for students entering 9th and 10th grade. This academy allows all students regardless of their academic standing or economic background, an opportunity to experience a partnership with business volunteers. This collaborative effort of the EBR School District with many local and area businesses allows students to participate in mentoring and technical interships during their junior and senior years. Requirements This program is open to all interested students. However, students are required to maintain a 2.5 academic average upon acceptance to this program. Student's participation in this program is contingent on their academic standing.

Engineering Program
Description This program is designed to adequately prepare students who are planning to pursue careers in science math, engineering or other technical fields. Requirements The requirement for enrolling in the Engineering Magnet Program is a 3.0 overall GPA for 5 semesters and a 7 stanine in reading and mathematics.

Government Affairs Program
Description The Center of Excellence for Government Affairs is a full-time, four -year academy for students entering 9th and 10th grade. This program is a collaborative effort of the EBR School District with many other local businesses and government entities. The studies are concentrated in Law Government and Public Affairs, incorporating the disciplines of Law, Criminal Justice, Technology, Psychology/ Sociology, Public Policy, Law Enforcement and Forensics Science Humanities. Requirements This program is open to all interested students. However, students are required to maintain a 2.5 academic average upon acceptance to this program. Student's participation in this program is contingent on their academic standing.

Traditional Program
Description This program is designed to educate all students regardless of future plans or goals in an effort to prepare them for future success. Requirements This program allows local area children to attend high school in their area neighborhoods. There are no admission requirements for these students.

Dual Enrollment Program
Description It is a program that allows eligible high school juniors and seniors, currently attending East Baton Rouge Parish public schools, to concurrently enroll in a college course at Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC). The credits that students earn will be used toward both a high school diploma and are acceptable toward a college associate degree, and/or certificates.
Requirements • Have a minimum 2.0cumulative grade point average (weighted/unweighted) • Have accumulated a minimum of 14 Carnegie units • Earn a “C” or better average in each dual enrollment course and complete the course in good standing • Permission from their parent/guardian, high school principal and counselor. • An understanding that the amount of work necessary to succeed in dual enrollment courses will be greater than in high school courses.
