Description This program is designed to adequately prepare students who are planning to pursue careers in science math, engineering or other technical fields.
This is the only program in the district that has an advisory council that raises funds to support the program and provides mentoring and scholarships.  This program also has a robotics team that builds a robot to compete in national competitions across the country. Students participate in engineering activites throughout the year.
This program offers all honor courses in addition to Advanced Placement and Dual enrollemnt opportunities.Students have an opportunity to earn up to 30 hours of college credit before graduating from high school.

Requirements The requirement for enrolling in the Engineering Magnet Program is a 3.0 overall GPA for 5 semesters and a 5 stanine in reading and 7 staninie in mathematics. Students must make basic or above on the 8th grade leap test in order to qualify. Students are required to take 7 classes per year for 4 years including engineering honors math, science and engineering career path.
