I am originally from Opelousas, Louisiana and moved to Baton Rouge to attend Southern University. This has been my place of residence since then.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Ed. and Mathametics with minors in English and Science. Further studies has brought me a Master's Degree in Business Ed. and Administration & Supervision as well as being certified in Supervision of Student Teachers. I have since certified in Microsoft Word, Excel, Customer Service, and Quicken.
December 20, 2002 was my retirement date after spending 1 year at Northwestern (then) High School and 33 years at Zachary High School.
After a brief vacation, I returned to actively classroom duties at Capitol High in January of 2005 and at Scotlandville Magnet in August of 2005; then returned to Capitol PreCollege Academy for the next 2 years until May of 2008. I now have the pleasure of returning to Scotlandville Magnet HS.
I must say that this has been a rewarding and exciting experience.
My aim while here is to have a positive affect on everyone I come in contact with both educationally and socially. I am now a part of this community, and will do all I can to help build it up to its fullest potential.
My venture for the establishment of the HORNETS' HIVE, which is the SBE (school based enterprise).The store is established and run by the Entrepreneurship Class.
The Accounting students are partnering with Southern University Law & Business Depts. and will offer Tax Preparation for low-income persons in the Scotlandville area.
"Center of Excellence-Business" is the area of EXCITEMENT.
